cd: Then we are on a different page for I am discussion the Moral the 11
commandments and its impact on a Christian.

Pete responds:

Yea. I see that. From my perspective, teaching moral laws isn't wrong. It
makes it possible to live peaceable with each other. I thought we were
discussing the difference between the Law and the Spirit. Sorry.

cd; And due to the fact that Jesus said to keep Gods commandments (ie. to
the rich young ruler)-it is therefore the law of Christ to do so.The new
covenant has aspects of the old included within-Adultery is still adultery
but move to the spiritual aspect (ie you do it in your heart-you are
guilty) as well as the physical act as explained in the Torah Exodus 20.
Both are there.

Pete responds:

Jesus knew the heart of the rich young ruler. Notice that keeping the Law
was not enough! He had to sell all that he had and FOLLOW HIM! Following
God and being obedient was the crux of the matter. Jesus did not condemn
the man for following the Law, but showed him that his heart was not
following God.

cd: Agreed-I am still learning to love on that magnitude-ever learning and
with His help moving closer-And Yes I can forgive more but some things take
a while to forgive esp if they don't ask forgiveness-but that I am learning
that also:-)

Pete responds:

AMEN! Many of us have to deal with this.

cd: Agreed-Gal 5: 18 But if you are led by the spirit you are not under the
law. Notice the" if ". May God's blessing be upon you brother and His light
shine upon you giving you peace:-)

Pete responds:

Thanks. And to you!

:-)

Pete
