To the few who are interested in college bootball. This weekend, our Fresno State team will be at #1
USC. State is rated 16 in the nation. We are 8-1. Our only lose was to Oregon which is #11 in the nation, today. Our lose to Oregon was 34-37 in overtime.
We have played 19 gaems against out of conference big name teams (USC [years ago}, Wisconsin, Virginia, Georgia, Oklahoma ---) and we are 10-9 versus this caliber of competion.
Our quarterback is completing passes at the rate of nearly 70% and we are the strongest 3rd down conversion team in the nation. Three years ago we played Oklahoma when they were #1. The talk about Oklahoma was as large as the talk of USC today. We lost (of course) , but we out-scored them in the second half ------------- the only team to do so that year until they play Kansas.
Our guys have been there. They are big and fast. I think it will be a good game.
About 20,000 State fans will be going to the fame !! It really is a bigger deal than I thought it might be. Sheer excitement.
ESPEN or maybe network TV. ..................... 7:15 p.m. our time . Get a bag of chips. Have the wife make some good dip (that is one of the purposes of marriage ?? !!! ).
