After receiving some godly counsel and doing our little bit of shopping yesterday, I'm back and will oblige JD.

You believe that the phrase "Christ is the end of the law .."  means one thing and I believe it means something entirely different.   Two opposing "undertandings."

Romans 10:4 addresses the Jews who were wanting to receive righteousness by the Law of Moses rather than by faith when circumcision and the ritual or ceremonial law had been completed in Christ. He is the end of all that.

Which one is that which is a "misunderstanding?"

Yours is JD because God's moral law has not gone anywhere, in fact it will judge us in the last day..

And what effect does this circumstance have on your understanding of "illumination" as per I Cor 2 ??

I call it "understanding" - (illumination is what you do with a Christmas tree).  No effect. Flesh is still flesh
and spirit is still spirit.

And Judy  --  I would still like to see your response.   I don't think you can defend your position in the face of some of these questions?   But give it a shot. jd

JD, in God's economy religious flesh is just as ugly as the other kind.  We are either walking in and being led by
the Spirit or we are in the flesh and trying to apprehend God's thoughts in the wrong way.

He that says "I know Him" and doesn't keep His Commandments
