I've no idea whether your entire family subscribes to this understanding. Do

I would distinguish between capability and likelihood. I think I shall leave
off speaking of Christine for obvious reasons. You are capable of anything!
You are not likely to engage, at this time, in 'serial killing, orgiastic
behaviour, or worshipping false gods 'TONIGHT' (why tonight, David?).
I trust that you know that I'm speaking of BELIEVING humans, David. I thank
God, truely, for the kindnesses you show, along with the forbearance you
exhibit under adverse conditions.
The kind of person "I" am David is the kind of person YOU are.
As for the 'Dean thingy'; he is functioning within the range of behaviour
that you and I function in.
IFF 'this' is that which you teach, preach and how you live then, you've
placed an achieveable burden on those under you. I 'grieve' for them.

I don't know where you get this idea. The range of behavior for which any
human is capable is restrained within a possible range. It is not an
"anything is possible" kind of thing. For example, I'm not capable of
starting a spree of serial killings, nor am I capable of engaging in an

There
are humans who are capable of such, but I am not one of them. I don't
believe my daughter is capable of the despicable behavior that you think

There is a flip side to this range of activity as well. For example,
while
I might be able to turn the other cheek and have love in my heart toward

person who hit me, not every human is capable of doing that. There are

who would buckle under persecution when I will not. My tendency to take
people into my home from off the street also is something many humans are
not capable of. If the love is not there, they just can't bring
themselves
to do it. Some won't even pick up hitchhikers and give them a ride.
Others
cannot preach in public if their life depended upon it. The range of
human
behavior is constrained by previous choices and by what spirit they might
have dwelling within them.
As for Dean, I don't know him so I cannot comment on that. I have my own
concerns after seeing how he treated John.
