We discussed it a while ago related with translations, which are content, and I was told that it cannot change once a new major version is released. Which sucks, but somehow, has sense (it's quite easy to 'remove' all translations customisations that users may have in their systems if we do it post release, with current system). I'm not saying that we cannot change the policy, just clarifying current status.
