Hi, a fried pointed me to Trackworld which implements a sophisticated search interface. Screenshots are available in the user manual <http://www.belox.de/downloads/software/tw5/manual/Anwenderhandbuch.pdf> on pages 38 ff. Trackworld allows saving searches and views.
A demo is available, too.
