Some do see the benefit. A much forked project is a project of interest, to most people, especially those of us who came here looking for alternatives to OpenERP. I'm very appreciative of Paul's buildout, although I changed it to suit my personal preferences. If I see 6 forks of a project, I check out the project homepage, to see what all the fuss is about.
