It is the same in GTK (it is because of MS Windows compatibility).
We use "gobject.timeout_add" to post the call in the main queue.

But it will be no very nice graphically because the form will become grey.
And I think it is better to have fast call and for long call like report it
could be manage in a separate thread (if JSON-RPC becomes threadsafe).
