Just a first comment, I know, it is work in progress:

ok - footer should be white ore even lighter ...
I'm still fighting to get something like a context-navigation in the
leftbar - there we can reuse the second color.
I personally would prefer a lighter design, where black shouldn't be the
all-dominant color.

At CeBIT 2009 and OpeExpo2010 we (virtual-things and MBSolutions) used a
different approach, that seemed more attractive (and a little less frightening
than pure black/white ;) to us [1].
So for me:
If black and white as primary combination is set, let speak the secondary
color!
green was one of my favourites as well - do you remember my little
playground with the second color?
