This seems to already exist as we display balance on chart of account
and on the chart of account type.

I don't see the difference, a single period is a range of period with
only one inside.

Ok but the main difficulty is to link the expression to an
account/account type. For me, it must use the DB id which is the only
unique indentifier we have.
For selecting the period, I guess a wizard could be used to open the
view of the result and ask the periods.
