For me it is a great Idea to have an advanced search domain builder.

I have seen in other software (a school administration software in
Germany) that this function is additionally provided to a simple
search form.

The school software has also a simple save mechanism to store the
search criterias under a certain name. This name is given as a single
click link, which provides the search results and fill in the stored
search attributes into the advanced search form.

In Tryton we can divide the search form into a 'search' tab, which
provides functionality like the actual search, and a tab for
'advanced' search, where to build a sophisticated search domain.
