Hallo, if struggling with organizing or structuring parties the best way. I need some relations between organizational units. How to achieve this?
I have addresses like this (in realworld these are e.g newspapers): Some kind of "organizations": (1) Press Inc, [email protected] (2) Press Inc, The Newspaper, [email protected] (3) Press Inc, The Outlawer, [email protected] (4) Press Inc, The Newspaper, Bureau Paris, [email protected] (5) Press Inc, The Newspaper, Bureau Bruessels, [email protected] Additionally I have "persons". I'm using party_type to differentiate between these two types. Additionally I'm relating the persons to the organizations using a module "works_for" I've implemented. So "persons" like this are no problem: (8) Press Inc, The Newspaper, Bureau Paris, Hein Meiner, [email protected] But I still have not solved the organizations: * "Displayname" should be something like "The Newspaper, Bureau Brussels". But there still needs to be some "relation" between the bureau in Brussels and the "Newspaper" record. * But the Address should still separate: "The Newspaper" and "Bureau Brussels" should be two lines. Since Newspapers are seldom "named" in conjunction with the publishing company, the publisher is not required in the Address. * The relation of "Press Inc" <-> "The Newsletter" could be expressed be some "sub-company" relation. Any hints how to manage these? -- Schönen Gruß - Regards Hartmut Goebel Dipl.-Informatiker (univ.), CISSP, CSSLP Goebel Consult Spezialist für IT-Sicherheit in komplexen Umgebungen http://www.goebel-consult.de Monatliche Kolumne: http://www.cissp-gefluester.de/ Goebel Consult mit Mitglied bei http://www.7-it.de
