You need to create a postgres database user (usually named "tryton")
which is able to create databases. Then you need to put the database
user and its password into the trytond.conf.
Depending on your postgres settings you need to start the tryton server
with a systemuser which has the same name ("tryton") as the database
user. Then you start tryton with:
$ su tryton -c"bin/trytond"

Connecting to template1 is a strong indicator for missing access
permissions to the database.
