Thanks Cédric, based on the info following your link I took the next actions: Connected as Admin and opened the Modules view. Scheduled the standard modules (ir, res and webdav) for an upgrade. Performed Pending Installation/Upgrade. Refreshed the Modules View (since i had it still open) and there was the helloWorld module, listed in the Modules list. I continued: Marked the helloWorld module for installation Performed Pending Installation/Upgrade (for a second time, to install the new module) Disconnected as Admin Connected as regular user, and there was the long expected helloWorld Menu Item It might be a good idea to add these actions between steps 1 and 2 of the hellWorld Tutorial documentation for other newbies like me ;-) Thanks again for the tip.
