test and work in unix SO.Setting up a linux VM for testing. OK; let's see. I might consider that. But at the end, this software would need to run in existing environments, which are Windows based. Sorry, it's not up to me to decide or change that.
Some existing environments are windows based indeed.
So this is a fundamental question for me. The Tryton client is available on Windows: good. Running a PostgreSQL database server on Windows is possible: good. Is a migration of the Tryton server to Windows in the pipeline? If yes, setting up a temporary test environment with a Virtual Linux might be worth the effort.
I don't think there is a lot of work to do in order to make trytond work quite well under windows. Trytond is written exclusively in python and thus is portable probably quite easily on windows. But I am afraid not a lot of people (if any) here are doing any effort to actually port trytond. Nevertheless, you can always ask for some advices if people have any ideas about your question you will receive answers.
If not, I might be willing to help to get this done if there is any cooperation possible?
If the patches are well done, I don't see why they should not be accepted. -- Nicolas Évrard B2CK SPRL rue de Rotterdam, 4 4000 Liège Belgium Tel: +32 472 54 46 59 E-mail/Jabber: [email protected] Website: http://www.b2ck.com/
