I totally agree with you except on one point:

Even trolls are subject of personal mail filtering. The classification of a
person as a troll is a rather subjective rating and shouldn't be part of a
mailing list directive.

And I am repeating once more:
As long as there is no explanation of the wished behaviour on the guidelines of
a mailing list, it is not adequate to do such filtering. I can't find on any
Tryton mailing list a guideline, how to use them (e.g. [1][2]).
