Ideally, I would see it as an icon inside the gtk entry, just like the
magnifying glass on date fields. But a button with the symbol
beside the entry would do the trick.

For example I may enter "120 euro". We already have this behaviour with
the widget float_time. So we may see the widget float_time as a less
generic implementation of the current one.
