You can run the server in verbose mode which should show more
information. But also I think you did not run the last bugfix version of
this series 2.8.2, which contains especially some creation fixes.

Correct. This is straight from the packages. I'll try to upgrade manually.

But then, there's one more question: Not all modules are available in a 2.8.8 version, which seems to be the last of the serie for trytond. Do I have to care and match exact version numbers between daemon and modules, or will any 2.8.x version of the module work with any 2.8.x version of the trytond?
