Is the server running on a diferent machine than the client? If not, you
must modify your trytond.conf file in order to make it listen to all ip
interfaces (by default only listens to localhost).
In order to make this you have to modify the line:
jsonrpc = localhost:8000
To:
jsonrpc = *:8000
