For the kind of reports you're trying to achive, maybe babi is the easier option to do so, as you can do it all directly from tryton. It was presented on tub2013, so you can watch a video [2] to know a little bit more how it works. Also you can find more info on nantic's website [3].
For your needs, you only have to enable Bussiness inteligence on sales models, and create the expresions needed for your reports. Once the you have created the expressions you can combine them into the number of reports you want. For futher references, we have some modules [4] that some expressions to some modules, so you can use them as reference for creating your custom ones.
