Normally, you should never update record that are created by module. There is a check for that by default in Tryton (but it doesn't completely work for the view if you edit the arch field when the record was created using a local xml view). For proper customization of the view, you should follow: http://doc.tryton.org/3.8/trytond/doc/topics/views/extension.html#topics-extension You can create the extension record from a module but also from the client if you want.
