Hi, I have recently decided to move up to kernel 2.6.10 on my box running Trustix 2.0, so I configured it, compiled, set it up in GRUB and restarted, the kernel working perfectly, except for one thing: I could not longer mount my cd-rom. The error message I got was something like this:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdrom, or too many mounted filesystems. If it helps, I have saved the .config file to http://the1.no-ip.com/~steady/.config and here are my system's specs: Mainboard: Octek MVP4 ATX with VIA Apollo 82C chipset Processor: AMD K6-3 @ 450MHz Memory: 64MB SD-RAM, minus 8MB shared by onboard graphics Graphics: 8MB onboard graphics, sharing memory Hard Drives: /dev/hda = Western Digital 1.2gb, /dev/hdb = Western Digital 800mb Partitions: / = /dev/hda1, 1.1gb, /var = /dev/hdb1, 800mb, swap = /dev/hda2, 100mb CD-ROM: Sony CDU4811 (also has onboard sound, which is disabled in BIOS) As lame as it looks, it has been built from salvaged hardware... Since I have seen from the archives that Trustix 2.1 is kernel 2.6 ready, should I upgrade to the latest version of Trustix? Or is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance...
