* ["2bujo"] > Hi, anyone have experience with hot swap disk ?
I have very good experience with hotswap disks in a proper hotswap disk enclosure connected to a proper hardware SCSI-RAID controller. You'll of course need to use a RAID level with some degree of redundancy to be able to hotswap disks in any useful fashion. RAID 1, RAID 5, and RAID 1+0 are the most interesting ones. > which kind of raid level are well supported by TSL 2.2 ? For software RAID, levels 1 and 5 are supported. You can probably do 1+0, but I never tried. For hardware RAID controllers that are supported by TSL, the controller decides what RAID levels it supports. ystein -- This message was brought to you by the letter and the number e. _______________________________________________ tsl-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.trustix.org/mailman/listinfo/tsl-discuss
