I've been building a package w/ some services running. I'd like to make them run with a dedicated system account
Is there a policy for user (pre)allocation? E.g. I see postfix is reserved uid/gid 102. How do I reserve the following: Uid/gid user name group name package 263 snmpd snmpd net-snmp I've been reading the development policy, but I found no "best practice" about removing system account. Removing such system account should be quite harmless, but a feedback should be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
