Hello experts

I've been using TSL since 1.5 and have downloaded and am running 2.2 in
production. I understand ``things'' relatively well but I find myself
branching out and experimenting. I love TSL and enjoy running it - but now
I want to play! I have downloaded the latest kernel (2.6.11.5) and have
compiled it and selected the PCMCIA and framebuffer options from the `make
menuconfig' selection. There are some (minor errors) reported (oter
modules) but I go through the process described in the WIKI and can boot
from the new kernel no problem BUT - I cannot figure out how to get the
kernel to run the frambuffer (supply the vga=0x317 from the grub boot

try in lilo.conf vga=792 which is for 1024x768x32 grub'll be something like ....

option) and cannot figure out how to get PCMCIA working (Lan Card) at all.

for PCMCIA you just need pcmcia-cs package ... you can download one at tsl.chung.li .... you may have to rebuild it from source rpms

This is on 2 different laptops.
Again - for production I stick with the stock kernel - but I want to spread
my wings and fly a little with this great distro - any pointers/links to
docs would be greatly appreciated - most of the references I find are for
GUI based distros (man-red-fed) and would really like to get TSL 2.2 to
boot 2.6.xx kernel with Frambuffer and PCMCIA working.
Sorry for the long winded post but I'm so jazzed about my success so far!
Thanks for your time!!

Tom
