I'm working on setting up an SMTP relay for our network that will let our mobile users relay through it while on the road. I'm trying to set up SMTP AUTH & TLS. I'm trying to get the AUTH part working before messing around with the TLS part, but so far I've been running into problems.
Have you read the wiki?
Ok, checked the WIKI, and it's *almost* what I'm looking for, except it shows how to set it up to use the saslauthd mechanism, as opposed to the auxprop mechanism, which I would prefer to use. I have everything else set up correctly, according to the wiki. The only difference is that I'm trying to use auxprop (and subsequently the /etc/sasldb2 file for holding accounts) as opposed to saslauthd, which uses pam and local user accounts. The problem is, that for some reason, I can't authenticate using the auxprop method. I'm curious as to why I can't seem to get it to work.
