Hello,
There seems to be an issue with swup when setting up postgresql. I
subscribe to the tsl-announce list but I wasn't able to find the errata
for postgresql. Can someone point out where to find the errata?
A list of all 2.2 related erratas is found here:
http://www.trustix.org/errata/trustix-2.2/
Last postgresql update is described in this errata:
http://www.trustix.org/errata/2005/0003/
Great! Thank you so much for these pointers.
Then, I did a "man swup" and searched for a detailed explanation
of the "--local-first" option. There is none.
I shall add one then. :)
That is so nice of you. Thank you very much!
When is it good to use --local-first? Shall I update my cron script
and include --local-first on swup's invocation?
--local-first is an option used to solve a small number of problems that
may arise, normally its behaviour is not considered a good thing, and if
you need it often it's wiser to locate the reason for needing it, rather
than using it as a default.
kind regards
Your answers have been truly informative. Thanks to you and to the
entire Trustix team. It rocks and is my favorite linux distro for servers!
Best Regards,
Carlo
