Hi list, I have several servers running with an Intel mainboard with 4x sata ports on it. It uses the ata_piix.o module.
On one server I have serious problems with the disks. The server "locks" for 10 seconds now and then and resumes. I only have it on one server, and the difference it that the "problem" server is running kernel 2.4.30-2trsmp and all the other servers are running kernel 2.4.29-3trsmp. Googled around for the error messages, but it makes no sense to me. Could this be a hardware failure on both disks or the mainboard? Any help is very welcome.
