What a pain in the...!
I'm trying to enable the mhash functions in PHP. I've tried installing mhash itself, no problem there, the problem comes wheen trying to rebuild PHP with the --with-mhash switch. In order to do so, it gives me a list of 10 packages that it needs before I can rebuild PHP (mostly ***-devel packages). So I locate and download these and attempt to install them so that I can build PHP. But, to do that, I have to install another 23 packages! This is rediculous. There's got be another way to rebuild or install PHP with mhash enabled. Is there a trustix bin rpm available with mhash enabled in it? Some other option??? I have two boxes, one with TSL 1.5 and one with TSL 2.0. An easy solution for either one or both would be appreciated.

either you need to install all those packages, or someone else needs to (or have)
option b) is to remove all the parts of the package that you don't need
