Hi list/developers,

Just some thoughts about php, hopefully in time to make it into tsl 3 if
important people agree ..

As a user of php_cli, I think it would be a good idea if mod_php and php-cli
were compiled to use separate php.ini files - since sometimes you want them
configured in different ways .. safemode being a good example. Sticking the
php-cli php.ini in /etc and leaving the mod_php one where it is seems
sensible to me. Also, having php4.ini and php5.ini files rather than php.ini
and php4/php.ini would also seem cleaner.

I realise you can override php.ini settings in the apache config but that's
just a workaround ...

Thoughts?

Cheers,
David Hogan
