* Petko Kapralyakov | we've just assembled a new computer for our web server. | It consists of two 80GByte SATA Maxtor disks and ASUS P5S800-VM Motherboard. | Motherboard has integrated SIS180 SATA RAID Controller. | We set RAID1 from RAID setup, but when we tried to install Trustix | 2.2/3.0RC1 we saw two separayed disks but not one. | Can anybody help me ?
I strongly suspect that this is not a real RAID controller but rather an IDE controller that does the RAID bits in software via a driver. If this is the case, you are far better off running them as two individual disks and use the native software RAID provided by the kernel. | Petko K.
