When I ran # slaptest -v -d 1, it kept reporting that error although (I
think) I have installed all the necessary softwares as you can see below:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] /etc/openldap# rpm -qa | grep db4
db4-4.3.28-2tr
db4-devel-4.3.28-2tr
db4-utils-4.3.28-2tr
[EMAIL PROTECTED] /etc/openldap# rpm -qa | grep openldap
openldap-libs-2.2.27-2tr
openldap-2.2.27-2tr
openldap-devel-2.2.27-2tr
openldap-servers-2.2.27-2tr
A snipset of my /etc/openldap/slapd.conf:
database bdb
suffix "dc=xxx,dc=xxx"
rootdn "cn=Manager,dc=xxx,dc=xxx"
rootpw {SSHA}xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
# The database directory MUST exist prior to running slapd AND
# should only be accessible by the slapd and slap tools.
# Mode 700 recommended.
directory /var/lib/openldap
