If i386-based, you should try to install the standard Trustix OS. The only thing I can think of that may be different is kernel settings. You may need things that Trustix haven't enabled in the standard Trustix kernel. If it on the other hand is MIPS based, then it's very much work. You need to set up a cross compiling environment. There are lots of good articles about that. Consult google. The Debian howto I saw was for MIPS based systems. And with debian that's easier, because there is an existent Debian/MIPS port. There is no Trustix/MIPS port, so you'll need to do everything yourself.
