Sorry  for  asking  here  again, but everyone I asked before say it is a
Linux  feature  and  can't  find  anything similar in other OSes such as
FreeBSD  or  so...  It  is  not  connected with Trustix again, but maybe
you'll provide me with good advices.

How  dangerous  is  to  switch  on "unmaskirq" option with "hdparm -u1"?
Every  manual  in  Internet  says "come on, switch it on, and you'll get
excellent performance", but I also heard that it is pretty dangerous and
can  probably  damage  filesystems.  I  have Maxtor 6Y120M0 hdd on Intel
SR1325TP1-E  platform with Intel SE7210TP1-E motherboard. Hardware seems
to  be  rather  reliable.  When  I  ran  hdparm at first time I saw that
"unmaskirq"  was  switched off. And now I'm in doubt - would I switch it
on or better not to try. What would you advise?
