Greeting all:

I'm having trouble referencing external files for ALLOW or DENY
statements in /etc/hosts.allow on Trustix.

For example, to explicitly allow certain IP's, I've created a file
called sshd.hosts. Then, in /etc/hosts.allow, I have the following:

   sshd: /etc/sshd.hosts : ALLOW

After restarting ssh, /var/log/messages reports:

Aug 9 11:42:43 cp sshd[4181]: warning: /etc/hosts.allow, line 12: bad
net/mask expression: /etc/sshd.hosts

Similarly, I have an explicit deny file called /var/log/port.denial.log
and the following in /etc/hosts.allow:

   ALL : /var/log/port.denial.log : DENY

which results in the same warning shown above.

I've used this syntax successfully on dozens of Redhat machines in the
past. Anyone know if external files can be used in /etc/hosts.allow on
Trustix?

Thank you.
