Recently after the last sshd update, all my servers sshd has failed. the
ones running cpanel i was able to get it started again with the help of the
cpanel techs. They wrote a script and uploaded it via the whm theme to get
it started.

It seems that the init.d script no longer starts sshd because it doesent
include the full path to sshd. It worked before, but no longer after the
update? Does anyone have any idea why?

[EMAIL PROTECTED] [~]# /etc/init.d/sshd restart
sshd re-exec requires execution with an absolute path
[FAILED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED] [~]#

so if i go in and edit the init.d/sshd script and add the full path it works
fine. however when the rpm updates, it overwrites my changes. so does this
need to be changed at the distro level, or what?

to test this, i had an install i did a few months back in vmware. i just
fired it up, i could restart sshd no problem.

i did a swup --upgrade

it upgraded all the openssh-* rpm's.

tried a restart and got

sshd re-exec requires execution with an absolute path

Thanks
