* David Koski | I just did a new install of Trustix 3.0 for a DNS server and did swup for | updates. When I tried to reboot, eth0 would not come up, even though the log | file indicated that it had. ifup was not successful either. I found that the | driver was not being loaded. Once loaded manually with modprobe, eth0 came | up. I had to create modules.conf and add an alias as well as add the module | to /etc/modules. (I'm not too sure I *had* to add the module but the alias | was necessary.) Is this a known problem?
The file is now called /etc/modprobe.conf. Format is the same as the old one. Is the module mentioned there? | David Koski Erlend.. -- Erlend Midttun [EMAIL PROTECTED] Head of Trustix Secure Linux Department, Comodo Group http://www.trustix.org/ IRC: Golle Registered Linux user #5779 Where do you want to fly today?
