Well, I think it's solved (for me) already. (btw, the controller is just a
simple IDE 2-port controller, no RAID, I use sw-raid with it.) I put the
controller in a already installed 2.2 system and it works!

So only during install, the controller is not present, but after install I can
use it. Installed TSL 2.2 on 2 HDD's (/dev/md0) and after install, created
/dev/md1 raid 5 on the 4 HDD's connected to the controller.

It's not a big issue, only for people who want to boot from it. I guess 
I added
the controller after the install of the 2.0 system, but as I said, that was a
long time ago...
