Hummm... Strange, the "parts" directory should only be used by
attachements while they are analyzed by amavisd. So your problem doesn't
seem to be the quarantine.

I'm not sure, in amavisd.conf many parameters are commented out, but
they have a default value, and the QUARANTINEDIR should probably have
/var/spool/amavis/virusmails as default value, even if commented.
