I have the users on my system set to /bin/false as the shell. I do this because I don't want them to have shell access. However, this also knocks out FTP logins via ProFTPd. I have also tried /no/shell. Is there a certain shell that I am supposed to use besides /bin/bash, or is there a setting in ProFTP that I need to change that ignores the shell?
