Hi Guys,

I have a bit of a problem (well a big one). I just rolled out two
servers using Trustix 2.2 to be used as game servers.
However, they are underperforming, and after a lot of investigation, i
have been told that i need to change the 'kernel timer frequency' .

See here:
http://whisper.ausgamers.com/wiki/index.php/Tickrate#Linux_Kernel_Timer_Instructions*

*I really have no idea at all how to recompile my kernel or upgrade to
the 2.6 kernel (i tried following the trustix wikki on a test box but
got nowhere).

I went for the minimal install of Trustix too, so i have no developer
tools installed, and no idea what ones i'd need anyway.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, or if anyone can make me a 2.4.31
kernel rpm with this option changed, i would be more than happy to drop
some cash your way.

Kind Regards
Jim
