Yet another silly question. Is it generally a good idea to run all cron jobs "niced", i.e. with "nice -n X" (or "&nice(X)" for fcron)?
TSL does not have any default cron job "niced" although some other distributions have. Does it really help on heavy loaded systems? Will it cause any problems on unloaded systems? Google finds very different opinions, from recommendations to "nice -n 19" absolutely all cron jobs (even light) to categorical prohibitions of ever doing that.
