i've lost my work so i cant diff anything...
but : i've a good memory :) so here we go...
you've to unpack the vmware drivers .tar.gz...
then you've to modify the MakeFile to include the
-fno-stack-protector...
then repack the .tar.gz and put in place of the vmware ones...
now when the install script run it will use your modified .tar.gz
and the kernel modules compile nicely...
i hope this explanation is clear enuff to make it work for you...

also to all the others tsl guys in the list:

im sorry i didnt work anymore on any package nor i've been active
on the mailing list. this because of personal problems i hope will
be fixed soon.. for now im here but not 100% working...
