im beginin to feel lost b/w yours and others sugg.
to keep everything straight...
1)boot cd (W/O RUNNING INSTALL) i.e. choose rescue
2)choose rescue(command)
3)run this rescue root=/dev/hda2
gave previous errors
tried default rescue using latest iso with rescue and ifconfig set to previous
lan ip and accepted.
rec.....
Warning only one site configures with 'class=0' found.
Download failed for file:///trustix/rdfs/latest.rdf.asc:
[Error 2] No such file or directory: '/trustix/rdfs/latest.rdf'
Skipping 'file:///trustix/rdfs/latest.rdf.asc'
No site with valid filelist found.
Still lost... But thankful for Trustix community.

At CDROM boot promt type rescue

It should find your installed System
and mount it under /mnt/sysimage
if not manually mount it
chroot /mnt/sysimage
configure a network connection
ifconfig ethX some ip on your network
and do
swup --install kernel
