Trustix folks,

I've almpost completed an hylafax installation on TSL 2.2 and each
piece seems to work fine,
except for one.

I've configured the FILETYPE variable to tif (FILETYPE=tif) inside
the faxrcvq script that handles incoming
faxes.

The notification email sends the proper message with the fax
attachment "F########.tif".

This attachment is unreadable, unusable and, investigating better,
it's an empty file measuring zero K in size.

The same happens if I setup the FILETYPE=pdf, nothing works.

If I set, instead, the FILETYPE=ps, the attachment is converted on
the fly (thanks to Mail on Mac OS X doing this
automatically) in pdf for an inline visualization.

Nothing such this seems listed on the swup remote repository, (swup --
list-new).

Asking to hylafax users I've got that probably metamail, sharutils,
or base64-encode are not installed into TSL 2.2.

If I pick-up the tiff file directly to the server, via ftp, I can
read the file perfectly, so I'm convinced that the
problem is the encoding hwn sending the mail.

Do you have any suggestion?

Thanks!
