Trustix Secure Linux Bugfix Advisory #2006-0019

Package names: device-mapper, evms, lvm2, vsftpd
Summary: Various bug fixes
Date: 2006-04-07
Affected versions: Trustix Secure Linux 3.0

- --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Package description:
  device-mapper
This package contains the supporting userspace files (libdevmapper and
  dmsetup) for the device-mapper.

  evms
The Enterprise Volume Management System (EVMS) Project has the goal of
providing unparalleled flexibility and extensibility in managing storage.
It represents a new approach to logical volume management for Linux. The
architecture introduces a plug-in model that allows for easy expansion
and customization of various levels of volume management.

  lvm2
LVM2 includes all of the support for handling read/write operations on
physical volumes (hard disks, RAID-Systems, magneto optical, etc.,
multiple devices (MD), see mdadd(8) or even loop devices, see
losetup(8)), creating volume groups (kind of virtual disks) from one
or more physical volumes and creating one or more logical volumes
(kind of logical partitions) in volume groups.

  vsftpd
vsftpd is a Very Secure FTP daemon. It was written completely from
  scratch.
