This is what's happening on lists.trustix.org:
09:18:26 - Mail is received from network
09:18:27 - Mail is piped to amavisd-new
09:18:39 - Mail is received from amavisd-new and passed to mailman
(Mailman does stuff)
09:41:36 - Mail is received from mailman and passed to amavisd-new
09:41:40 - Mail is delivered to network
Normally mailman should only spend some seconds on archiving the mail
and putting outgoing mails into the postfix mail queue. tsl-discuss is
not a big mailing list. It has relatively few subscribers and very
little traffic, so load is not part of the problem.
Hope this analysis helps. :)
