Well, it really depends on the purpose of course. Trustix is way better
suited to a server. I like Slackware for my desktops.

On the same server? so that will be a fresh install right? I have no
direct experience of this with TSL 3.0 (I do with 2.2). I suppose that
the new installation program should pretty much guide you through. Any
fancy hardware on this box, like SATA disks or such? or is it
mainstream?

The underlying kernel support and commands are the same, but TSL 3.0
adds EVMS which provides for more advanced abstraction and unification for
the various kind of logical devices. I find it overly complex, poorly
documented and overall confusing, but that's just my two cents.

Some people have posted post-installation steps to get rid of EVMS to
this list I think. You should be able to find them.
