I just upgraded to Named 9.3.3 via SWUP on two servers and now neither of them will start. I get this in the logs:
Dec 28 23:12:34 home named[5114]: command channel listening on 127.0.0.1#953 Dec 28 23:12:34 home named[5114]: command channel listening on ::1#953 Dec 28 23:12:35 home named: named startup succeeded Dec 28 23:12:43 home named: stack smashing attack in function query_find I haven't seen any other reports of this in Google or this list, so anyone have any thoughts? In the interim I'm trying to figure out how to downgrade to an earlier version of BIND -- or was it some other upgrade through SWUP that now is making named trigger these warnings? Any way I can 'allow' named to avoid this protection to see if it really is 'stack smashing' or if its a false positive? Thanks. _______________________________________________ tsl-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.trustix.org/mailman/listinfo/tsl-discuss
