I've tried to follow the wiki guide (some parts I've written myself) and I'm
getting errors compiling the vmware tools. I'm getting two messages which leads
to the errors:
WARNING: Symbol version dump /usr/src/kernel-source-2.6.19.2-1tr/Module.symvers
is missing; modules will have no dependencies and modversions.
/tmp/vmware-config4-vmmemctl-only/os.c:26:26 linux/config.h: No such file or
directory
The first is probably not much to think about (is it?) but the seconds says I'm
missing a file. I've installed the kernel source and all the other tools we've
asking for in the wiki. Do I need the kernel-headers package perhaps?
